2021 STAR Gala Update

This year has been one for the record books due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, we are still able to schedule our STAR livestock show, however, we are unable to host our annual STAR Gala, due to guidleines set forth by Hidalgo County. The STAR team remains steadfast in our committment to raise funds for our FFA and 4-H kiddos. As such, we invite you to take a look at the sponsorship opportunities included in the letter below, and encourage you to donate, if you are able, through a sponsorship or by purchasing an item in our online auction set for Jan. 24-23, 2021 on cattleinmotion.com. The STAR Board is committed to continuing to pay Scholarships to our 2021 Seniors, as well as show premiums. With your help, we know that we can give our kids a great show in 2021!

Exhibitor Add On Program
Jan. 28 - Feb. 5, 2021

The Add On Program for S.T.A.R exhibitors will be hosted online this year through www.StocksShowAuctions.com, an auction site specific to 4H and FFA livestock sales. Please have your exhibitor account ready by Thursday, Jan. 27. Add On's will begin on Friday, Jan. 28 and will run through Friday, Feb. 5 at midnight. The annual Add On Program has always been supported by area individuals and businesses, and having an online format will allow that support to continue for all our exhibitors.

Add-ons are straight financial contributions to an individual exhibitor and can be in any amount. Businesses and individuals may wish to help multiple exhibitors. They can “add-on” $25, $50, $100 or more to an exhibitor. According to Brent Graves with StockShowAuctions.com “Add-ons make the event what it is. Add-ons come from businesses, friends, neighbors, grandparents, aunts & uncles, it gives everybody the opportunity to support these young people. Everybody in these kid’s circle wants to see them be successful and they can help them achieve that success at any financial level.”

Organizers admit it is an easy process to participate in. Buyers can watch a short instructional video or print off written instructions, register on the site and begin participating once bidding opens on January 28. The STAR Show will collect all the funds as they always have, and those instructions will be on the sponsor’s invoices provided by the site at the conclusion of the event.

Sponsors are invited to visit sale at www.StockShowAuctions.com or contact Tonya Hill, (956) 566-0442 for more information or to begin participating in the annual auction.
